Information from our payment reseller

Information from our payment providers

Live workshop orders are processed by Paddle.com as reseller and Merchant of Record. On-demand course purchases are processed by our payment providers, Stripe and PayPal, through our learning platform. These providers collect your payment details. We do not receive or store your card number or full payment details. They share with us the information we need to fulfil your order, such as your name, email address, country, what you bought, the amount paid, any discount code used, and the status of refunds.

Information collected automatically

When you visit our website we collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed and the site that referred you, using cookies and similar technologies (see section 8). We also record your time zone so we can show session times in your local time.

3. How we use your information

We use your personal information to:

  • confirm your booking and send your booking confirmation, calendar invite, joining link and reminders;
  • deliver live workshops, on-demand courses, assessments and certificates;
  • manage your account and give you access to courses;
  • handle cancellations, transfers, refunds and customer support;
  • prevent fraud and misuse, and keep our website and systems secure;
  • understand how our website is used and improve our training;
  • send you marketing about our training, where you have agreed to receive it or where the law allows (you can opt out at any time; see section 6); and
  • meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

4. Who we share it with

We share personal information only as needed with the service providers that help us run our business:

  • Paddle.com: payment processing, sales tax, invoicing and refunds for live workshop bookings, as our reseller and Merchant of Record.
  • Stripe and PayPal: payment processing for on-demand course purchases.
  • Resend: sending booking, joining-link and reminder emails.
  • Our video-conferencing provider (Zoom / Microsoft Teams / Google Meet): hosting live workshops. When you join a session, the provider processes your name, email and session participation.
  • Our website hosting provider and our learning platform: hosting our website, accounts and on-demand courses.
  • Google (Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager): understanding how our website is used.

These providers may only use your information to provide their services to us, or as described in their own privacy policies (for example, Paddle as Merchant of Record has its own obligations for payment data).

We may also share information:

  • with your organisation, if your organisation booked or paid for your training;
  • if required or authorised by law, or to protect our rights, our users or the public; and
  • with a buyer or successor if our business, or part of it, is sold or restructured.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Overseas disclosure

Some of our service providers store or process information outside Australia, including in the United Kingdom, the European Union and the United States [and other countries where our providers operate]. We take reasonable steps to ensure they protect your information in a way consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.

6. Marketing emails

We send marketing emails only where you have agreed or where the law allows. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, or you can email contact@rapidskillup.com. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop service emails about bookings you have made.

7. How long we keep it

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, including to provide certificates, handle refunds and complaints, and meet legal, tax and accounting requirements (generally up to seven years for financial records). When we no longer need it, we delete or de-identify it.

8. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep our website working, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use the site (including through Google Analytics). You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings and our cookie banner. Blocking some cookies may affect how the website works.

9. How we protect it

We use reasonable security measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls limited to authorised staff, and reputable service providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required by law.

10. Accessing and correcting your information

11. If you are in the EU or UK

If you are in the European Union or United Kingdom, you may also have rights under the GDPR, including to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal information, to object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. We process your information to perform our contract with you, to meet legal obligations, for our legitimate business interests, or with your consent. Contact us to exercise these rights.

12. Children

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have, please contact us and we will delete it.

13. Complaints

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version, with its date, is always on this page. If we make a significant change, we will let you know on our website or by email.
